I
A lovely Christmas present x

Here are two of the puppets I made from the set. I think the eyes look really sad, might try tiny buttons instead.

Note book making

I cut each page 6 on an A2 sheet. I had stamped notes and used sporting images from my friends team. The images came from a CD on EBay and then I printed them at boots onto photo paper. I have tried to make each page different.

Christmas wrapping paper

This year I decided to print my own wrapping paper using this great stamp I found in EBay.

I stamped in a black ink but then coloured in the gifts with Sharpie markers and as it's Christmas gave the hedgehog a red nose.

I then used my alphabet stamps I got last year from EBay to personalise the paper with who the gift is to and from.

The twine tie and tags are all different on my gifts as I used a set from John Lewis

Lino block printing of Xmas cards

So I went to a workshop at Stag and Bow, Forest Hill www.stagandbow.com and learnt how to create a lino print. We used oil based printing inks.

My finished card 😃.

Screen printing

So I attended another great workshop at Stag and Bow, Forest Hill. We used screen printing fabric in a embroidery hoop to push the paint through a paper stencil. A foam base was used to take the cushioning of printing then some cotton cream fabric with the stencil and finally the hoop on top.

I used basic colours of printing paints but started to mix the colours by not washing my hoop. Later in I printed my designs on top of each other using two different shades.

New baby gift

I made this for a friend. I adapted the pattern from the magazine to make it twice as big at the top I also decided to add a second row of flowers instead of love hearts as I like it that the images are similar in the design.
I used a selected short colour pallet of dark green for the edge and bottom flower and light green for flowers. I used old cream missing one square out. I used a mint green background with to tiny holes.

Spanish buttons and thread

On my recent holiday I went to Polop Rastro and picked up super cute ribbon with owls on as well as cute apple shaped buttons. I also dug round and found some unusual ones...

Blanket stitch

So I went on a great embroidery course last week and decided to use what I learnt and take photos of each stitch and how to do it before I forget.
